Event Review: WE-III : The Love Affair @ Graceland London

The Love Affair. It was everywhere - Facebook, Twitter, Text Messages, Emails - so much buzz generated about the event and it was finally a relief when on the Saturday evening "lovers" gathered for a night of music and worship organised by Alexander Victor & Altarsound.



The colour theme [white and purple], the colourful and beautiful lighting plus the petals all around the floor in the hall - they all set the mood for an intimate, romantic setting. Question is what has all this got to do with a concert? We found out later!

Opening the night was the groovey medley by His Levites Band. Ruth Smith also played an amazing worship medley on the saxophone with the altarsound musicians, setting the right mood for the evening and then Alexander Victor & Altarsound took the stage. There were also Guest Ministers who graced the night such as  Aaron T Aaron (My heart is steadfast), Jake Isaac (My Hands lifted high), Toye D Toye (Lord I love you, Jesus I love you) and Gina Gee (Pour my love on you). One of the highlights of the nights was having impromptu ministrations by Tola Oloko (Be exalted/I will worship) and Nstikelelo Blessing Vani (singing "Jesus I love you" in his local african dialect).

A night to be remembered, it was amazing seeing everyone get involved right from the start - audience, band, guest ministers - they jumped, screamed, cried, laughed, danced, rolled! Everyone worshipped!

The feedback from pariticipants have been great too and many people looking forward to the next one already. When is it? Keep your fingers crossed (or better still keep your fingers on your phones and PC's)! I have already placed my order for the DVD, moments like this should be treasured.
