Book Review: "Maximised Manhood" by Edwin Louis Cole

Few books written about men, for men and by a man can claim to hold the answers to the problems confronting men in this 21st century. Yet this timeless book manages to capture this in great essence and describe in vivid terms why men should take responsibility for solving the issues in our modern world.

Ed Cole as he fondly called is described as "the Father of the Christian Men's Movement." Moved by the passion to see every man get the maximised experience, he inscribed an amazing book drawing from his personal experiences, travels around the world, counselling sessions and personal meditations.

A few excerpts from the book:
"A man cannot hear the needs of his family...when listening to the demands of the T.V. Nor his family learn healthy communication...sitting beside an impersonal television set" [p 150]
"Manhood is in spirit. It has nothing to do with physical size, but everything to do with character" [p 135]
"Both single and married men- young and old-are subject to desires...and temptations that...prohibit them from becoming what God intends them to be...[but] Every man [can] develop his potential of manhood to the maximum" [p 21]
It's a critical time in history. The world is going through various degrees of random events. But men hold the key to change. As Ed Cole puts it, "A nation is great because its men are great" [p 134]
