Poem: Herein is the love that we feel

Herein is the love that we feel
a deep stiring in our souls
a longing desire to make
to break
to explore
to feel
to transcend

Herein is the love that we feel
an inner longing for something deeper
someone true and passionate
to enter the place
where everything works out
where everyone feels loved

Herein is the love that we feel
to be safe
safe from harm
safe from danger
carried in His loving arms
arms so strong
we don't have to worry about falling

Herein is the love that we feel
the cross we bear
once borne for us
now a symbol of our salvation
the lamb
the lion
the king

Herein is the love that we feel
knowing His presence is near
knowing His table we share
knowing in His heart He cares
knowing the assurance
assurance of the comfort
the comfort paid for
full payment
the receipt from calvary

Herein is the love that we feel
that He died that we might live
and asks for only one thing
"give your heart to Me"
His voice
tender and sweet
His heartbeat
strong yet meek

Herein is the love that we feel
the power
the glory
the grace
to be one with Him
sitting at His feet
shielded in His crib
laying aside every weight
casting down every burden

Herein is the love that we feel
His gentle touch
His warm embrace
we partake in His treasure
we are His treasure
an everlasting kingdom
o what peace!

Herein is the love that we feel
forever
eternity
the pleasure
the race
the comfort
steady pace
that's the love
the love we feel
that He loves us
loves us for real.
